Abstract

Secondary title: Heat pump efficiency analysis
Secondary abstract: The heat pump analysis is intended to show, how efficient the system operates. The key points of this work are potential savings and whether it is reasonable to invest in the installation of a heat pump. Modern heat pumps could reduce the energy consumption, compared to conventional heating systems using fossil fuel, up to 75%. Certainly, high system efficiency is necessary, in particular properly selected and installed components, as well as an accurately designed heating system with optimized control. Special attention needs to be paid on potential mistakes in the entire process of designing, selection, installation, up to the parameter settings and desired mode of operation. The comparison of a liquid petrol gas (LPG) heating system and a heat pump using the consumption analysis with real measurement data, has shown, that the efficiency of the heat pump significantly reduces costs of heating and justifies the investment in such a system. Without neglecting, that this system is markedly friendlier to the environment than any other system using fossil resources, but this is not the subject of this work.
