(diplomsko delo)
Abstract
Teoretična izhodišča: Diplomsko delo govori o osveščenosti šolskih otrok o zdravi prehrani in zdravem gibanju.

Secondary abstract: |
Introduction: The thesis discussess chool children’s healthy eating and exercise awareness. The role of nurses as advisors and educators of a healthy lifestyle is also presented. The purpose ofthethesis is to presen tthe importance of healthy exercise and nutrition for school children and the role nurses play in this context.
Research methodology: The thesis uses the descriptive work method. Theoretical background is presented through domestic and foreign literature. For data collection a questionnaire with 30 closed and 5semi-open type questions was used. The research sample included 148 third, fourth and fifth graders who regularly attend the Karel Destovnik Kajuh primary school.
Result: The study showed that children’s eating habits are quite healthy and they do a lot of sports. Although their schoolwork takes up a lot of their time, they still play outdoors every day, and are well aware how important physical activity is for their health. They also know that balanced meals represent the key for healthy development and provide a source of energy for daily duties.
Conclusion: School children do not know how make their meals healthier and balanced on their own. They see sports and exercise as fun and games. And here is where parents, teachers, and health professionals, especially nurses, should step in and teach children the importance of a healthy diet and exercise for better life quality. |
