Abstract

V delu diplomskega seminarja smo pisali o upravljanju izseljenih managerjev, načinih, kako v podjetju izseljene managerje izberejo, kakšne so njihove lastnosti in na kakšen način v podjetjih usposabljajo slednje, da bi svojo nalogo uspešno opravili. Prvo poglavje zajema opredelitev problema, cilje ter teze, predpostavke in omejitve ter predvidene metode raziskovanja. V drugem poglavju smo opisali vlogo, ki jo ima manager v podjetju. Razložili smo, kakšne osebnostne karakteristike mora imeti, da je pri svojem delu uspešen. Tretje poglavje prestavlja pomen globalizacije in načine, kako se podjetja vključujejo v mednarodne trge ter kako izbirajo zaposlene za slednje. Osrednje poglavje dela diplomskega seminarja se nanaša na delo v tujino izseljenim managerjev. Povzeli in opisali smo način izbire v tujino napotenih, njihovo usposabljanje, ter upravljanje med samim bivanjem in delovanjem v tujini, kakor tudi potek njihove vrnitve v domače okolje oziroma podjetje. Na koncu smo potrdili dve, v začetku postavljeni, tezi, zadnjo pa smo ovrgli.

Secondary abstract: In this thesis we discuss about managing expatriate managers, manners how they are selected in companies, their characteristics and all about how in companies train and prepare those managers to do their international task. The first chapter contains a definition of the problem, objectives and hypothesis, assumptions and limitations and the intended method of research. In the second chapter we describe the role of managers in companies. We explain some personal characteristic that they need to have to be succesfull in what they do. The following chapter presents the meaning of globalisation, ways how companies move to international markets and how they choose appropriate employees for these markets. In the main chapter of this thesis we talk about work of expatriate managers abroad. We summarize and describe the ways how they are selected, how companies train them and manage them while they live abroad. We also talk about their repatriation. Na koncu smo potrdili dve v začetku postavljeni tezi, zadnjo pa smo ovrgli. In the end we confirm two hypotheses and rejected one of them.
