Abstract

Secondary abstract: Today the environment doesn’t judge the children of single-parent families and they don’t immediately associate them with the crime, and any kind of mental or behavioral problems. Children living in single parent families must be adapted to both parents and coordinate the school obligations at school and contact with the parent with whom they do not live. If the parents are mature enough, the child do not even feel or is aware of the habit to go on the weekends to visit the other parent. But when his former partner cannot agree, cook resentment, or even unforeseen consequences to each other through a child, that is a big psychological pressure for the child. The child loves both parents and does not understand why they are arguing among themselves. When the ex- partner cannot agree by themselves, they get the help of the Centre for Social Work and the court. The Court shall be assisted by the award of child custody to one parent (in some cases both), while the other have to agree on the size and nature of contacts that is differ from child to child, depending on his age and extracurricular activities if its attending school. A maintenance paid by the parent who carries contacts is decided. Even maintenance is determined differently depending on the needs of the child and the ability of parents to pay. Master's thesis consists of theoretical and empirical work. The task also includes a questionnaire in which we want to know what opinion people have of children from single-parent families. Most people are of the opinion that these kids become independent earlier, and that because the parents are divorced, have no problems with integration into society.
