Abstract

V predstavljenem diplomskem delu so bili testirani štirje matematični modeli (Vibe, 2-conski Vibe, Woschni/Anisits in AVL/MCC) za popis razmer zgorevanja v avtobusnem dizelskem motorju MAN.

Secondary title: Numerical simulation of combustion process in diesel engine by usage of different combustion models
Secondary abstract: Numerical simulations can shorten the time required to develop a new engine and reduce the required number of experimental tests. In the present thesis were four numerical models on test (Vibe, Vibe 2-Zone, Woschni/Anisits and AVL MCC) for numerical simulation of combustion process in diesel bus engine MAN. The obtained results (numerical simulations, pressure in the cylinder, rate of heat released, power, torque and BSFC) were compared with the experiment. Based on the analysis and comparison of the results obtained have been found to play a major role in setting the parameters of individual models and the need to find their optimal values. The selected optimal values of configuration parameters were achieved best fit the numerical results with the experiment with the model AVL/MCC.
