magistrsko delo
Abstract
V sklopu teoretičnega dela sta opredeljena osnovna termina branje in bralna pismenost. V nadaljevanju sledi teoretična predstavitev razvoja bralnih sposobnosti, delitve in vrst branja, spodbujanja in motiviranja branja, vloge in pomena branja in bralne pismenosti v življenju posameznika ter bralne kulture.

PUPILS' READING HABITS IN THE LAST THREE YEARS OF PRIMARY SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MURSKA SOBOTA |
Secondary abstract: |
My master's degree deals with the pupils' reading habits in the last three years of primary school in the municipality of Murska Sobota. The main purpose was to find out what relationship primary school pupils have towards reading, how much do they like reading, how often they do it, what themes they are interested in and what influences on their choice of books; what kind of motivation do they have, how often they participate in Reading badge, as well as how often do they read during the school year and during their summer holidays, where do they borrow books, have they heard about e-books and last but not least what is their oppinion on reading. In the theoretical part of my degree I define two main terms reading and reading literacy. In the following I continue with the theoretical presentation of the developement of reading skills, division and parts of reading, encouragment and motivation for reading, the role and the importance of reading and reading literacy in the life of evrey individual as well as reading culture. I have also presented empirical studies about reading and reading habits up to this point. In the empirical part, I have presedted the results of the carried out survey, in which participated 327 pupils in the last three years of primary school from all schools that are under the municipality of Murska Sobota. The results of the survey have shown that pupils see reading as useful and educational thing, they read for relaxation and fun, what is more, they find it interesting. Quite often they talk about reading with friends and school mates. Most frequently they have some inner motivation for reading. They mostly like reading young adult magazines; and their relationship toward reading more or less depends on what they read. The potentials for improving pupils' reading habits are mainly in encouraging reading literature more often, reading during the school year and in particular during summer holidays as well as bigger and more frequent participation in Reading badge. |
