Abstract

Secondary title: Fire safety of photovoltaic power plants
Secondary abstract: In Slovenia the number of photovoltaic power plants is on the increase, especially those which are built on buildings. At the same time fast progress of this technology demands fire safety. The purpose of this diploma thesis is to introduce how a photovoltaic power plant works. The bases of photovoltaics, components and protective elements of the power plant are presented. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with fire safety bases such as theory of burning, detection, reporting, fire extinction, fire and construction demands. The practical part of the thesis introduces all three photovoltaic power plants in the company TEB, d. o. o., and the measures that need to be taken to provide fire safety.
