Abstract
Teoretična izhodišča: V diplomskem delu je predstavljena dihalna stiska in njena pojavnost pri novorojenčkih. Nezadosten in nepravilen razvoj dihalne poti močno pogojuje nastanek dihalne stiske ter povzroča težave pri dihanju novorojenčka. Dihalna stiska pri novorojenčkih velja za najpogostejši vzrok umrljivosti. Aktivnosti zdravstvenih delavcev zahtevajo zgodnje prepoznavanje dihalne stiske, uspešno preprečevanje ter zdravljenje. Z raziskavo smo želeli ugotoviti, kako dihalno stisko pri novorojenčku uspešno prepoznavajo medicinske sestre ter kakšne so ob tem njihove naloge in kompetence.
Metodologija raziskovanja: Pri izdelavi diplomskega dela smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo dela. V raziskavi smo uporabili kvantitativen pristop, kot raziskovalni instrument smo uporabili anketni vprašalnik z 19 vprašanji. Kvantitativne podatke smo statistično obdelali s pomočjo računalniškega programa Microsoft Excel.
Rezultati: Z raziskavo smo ugotovili, da so medicinske sestre uspešne pri ukrepanju in nudenju pomoči novorojenčku z dihalno stisko. S svojim znanjem znajo prepoznati znake dihalne stiske in pravilno ukrepati. Še vedno pa dvomijo v svoje kompetence in včasih sprejemajo napačne odločitve.
Slep: V primeru dihalne stiske novorojenčka gre za nujno stanje, zato mora medicinska sestra redno spremljati novosti in spremembe, ki se pojavijo v smernicah za nudenje prve pomoči. Pomembno je zdravstveno – vzgojno delo medicinske sestre, ki svetuje staršem in predstavlja vezni člen med člani zdravstvenega tima.

Theoretical starting points: Thesis presents respiratory distress and its manifestation in newborns. Incorrect and insufficient progress of an airway is strongly influenced by the occurrence of respiratory distress and causes troubles breathing in newborn. Respiratory distress in newborns is considered to be the most recurrent cause of mortality. Nurses activities require early identification, successful prevention, and treatment of respiratory distress. The purpose of research was to establish the way nurses successfully identify respiratory distress in newborn, and what tasks and competences are required to do so. Methodology: The thesis was based on the descriptive research method. In research, quantitative approach was used and 19 survey questions as a research instrument. Quantitative data were processed by Microsoft Excel.
The results: The research established nurses are successful in taking measures and coming to newborns’ assistance in respiratory distress. Based on their knowledge, nurses are able to identify respiratory distress symptoms and take measures accurately. Despite the latter, they still suspect their competences and sometimes make inaccurate decisions. Conclusion: Newborn’s respiratory distress represents medical emergency. For this reason nurses need to follow innovations and changes in first aid guidelines. Nurses’ health-education work is of great significance since it advises parents and links up a team of medical members. |
