Abstract

Secondary title: Evaluation of methods for load flow calculations in the low – voltage distribution network
Secondary abstract: Load flow analysis represents one of the core elements in modern control of electricity systems. Therefore, it is necessary to provide efficient, numerically robust load flow algorithm with fast convergence and minimum usage of memory, suitable for variety of operating scenarios. The Master Thesis gives a review of load flow methods as well as the procedure of modeling the distribution network elements – line sections, loads and distributed generation units. Five deterministic methods, amongst presented ones, have been implemented, compared and evaluated on the low voltage part of the three – phase distribution network system. Furthermore, evaluation of implemented methods for load flow calculation of middle voltage networks has been performed on the realistic model of middle voltage part of distribution network in Maribor.
