Abstract

V magistrskem delu raziskujemo vpliv izbire igralnega pogona na razvoj iger za mobilne naprave. V prvem delu predstavimo sam postopek razvoja igre. Nato sledi pregled različnih igralnih pogonov, da dobimo vpogled kaj nam igralni pogoni sploh omogočajo. V drugem delu pa smo izvedli eksperiment, kjer smo v izbranih pogonih razvili igro ter naredili primerjavo med le temi. Pod podrobnejši pogled smo vzeli trud in čas, ki ga je bilo potrebno vložiti. Primerjali smo vse od namestitve, strojne zahteve, težavnost programiranja, možnosti izvoza projektov, podprte platforme, testiranje in učinkovitost delovanja igre. V zaključku dela še predstavimo naše rezultate in analizo ugotovitev glede izbire igralnega pogona.

Secondary abstract: In this thesis we analyze the influence of choosing a game engine on developing games for mobile devices. In the first part we present the entire process of developing a game. We reviewed various game engines, so that we get an insight into what the game engine actually offer. In the second part we performed an experiment, where we developed a game in selected game engines. We took a closer look at effort and time that was needed to complete each individual step. We compared all from the installation, hardware requirements, difficulty of programming, options for exports, supported platforms, testing and performance of the game. In conclusion of our work we presented the results and analysis of the findings regarding the choice of game engine.
