Abstract

Programski paketi, ki nam omogočajo simulacije, so vedno bolj zaželeni in že skoraj obvezen del vsakega resnega proizvajalca. Predvsem zaradi njihove sposobnosti reševanja realnega modela v simulacijskem okolju in omogočanja iskanja idealnih nastavitev ali obvladovanja tehničnega procesa. Njihova glavna prednost je, da lahko zelo hitro ocenimo primernost naših izdelkov, odpravimo napake ali izboljšamo konstrukcijo. Nekoč to ni bilo možno in je bilo vse skupaj zelo zamudno, saj so morali opravljati več mehanskih preizkusov in testiranj. Takšnih programskih paketov je že kar nekaj, vsak predstavlja svoje prednosti in je specializiran za reševanje drugačnih problemov. Odločili smo se, da spoznamo program Maple in preizkusimo njegov modul MapleSim, da bi razumeli, kako deluje, in ga testirali ter predstavili njegove prednosti. Ocenili bi tudi njegovo uporabnost kot pripomoček pri izobraževanju in rabo v industriji.

Secondary abstract: Program packages, that allow numerical simulations, are ever more desirable and almost necessary for every serious manufacturer. Mostly because of their ability to solve a real model in an virtual simulation environment and being able to find useful solutions, as well as finding the best settings for controlling our technical process. Their main advantage is the speed, at which we can assess the suitability of our products, solve mistakes or improve our model construction. In the past this was not possible and all this was very time consuming, as we had to do several mechanical tests and overall testing. There are already quite a few program packages, each of them is presenting his advantages and is specialized at solving specific problems. We decided to learn more about program Maple and test its program module MapleSim, so that we would understand how it works, test it and present its advantages. We would also evaluate its use as a gadget for student education and in the industry.
