Abstract

Diplomsko delo z naslovom Didaktični nasveti za poučevanje angleščine v predšolskem obdobju je praktično diplomsko delo, ki obravnava načrtovanje in evalvacijo dejavnosti v vrtcu ter zgodnje učenje in poučevanje tujega jezika. Namen diplomskega dela je zbrati in opisati primere dejavnosti enega tematskega sklopa v obliki dnevnih priprav za poučevanje angleščine v predšolskem obdobju, jih praktično preizkusiti v skupini predšolskih otrok in ugotoviti stališča otrok o izvedenih dejavnostih v tujem jeziku. V skladu z namenom so bile načrtovane in izvedene dejavnosti v okviru desetih dnevnih priprav, v katere je bilo vključeno integrirano učenje in poučevanje angleščine v vrtcu. Ob koncu izvedbe projekta je bila opravljena tudi evalvacija vseh dejavnosti v angleščini. Z otroki, ki so bili vključeni v projekt, je bil izveden vodeni intervju, katerega cilj je bil ugotoviti njihova stališča o izvedenih dejavnostih v angleščini. Pri končnem ovrednotenju projekta je bilo ugotovljeno, da je bilo poučevanje angleškega jezika uspešno vključeno v načrtovanje in izvedbo dejavnosti Kurikula za vrtce. Rezultati vodenega intervjuja z otroki pa so pokazali, da so bile otrokom dejavnosti, izvedene v angleškem jeziku, všeč in da so na splošno zelo motivirani za sodelovanje pri angleških dejavnostih.

Secondary abstract: The thesis entitled "Methodological Tips for Teaching English in Pre-school" is a practical thesis, which deals with lesson planning and evaluation of pre-school activities and early learning and teaching of a foreign language. The aim of the thesis is to gather and describe examples of activities in the form of daily lesson plans for teaching English in the preschool period, and to practically assess them in a group of preschool children; to establish the viewpoints of children on the activities performed in a foreign language (English). According to the aim pre-school activities were planned and accomplished in ten daily lesson plans in integrated content learning and teaching of English. At the end of the project an evaluation of all preschool activities in English was carried out. A guided interview was performed with the children, who were involved in the project, to determine their views on the activities carried out in English. The final evaluation of the project shows that English teaching was successfully included in the planning and implementation of the activities of the kindergarten curriculum. The results of the guided interviews with the children indicate that the children like the activities carried out in English, and that they are highly motivated to participate in English activities.
