Abstract

Naloga zajema opis in razvoj potencialno nove metode kontinuiranega merjenja prometnih tokov vzdolž cestnega odseka v realnem času. Metoda temelji na uveljavljenem principu detekcije vozil na podlagi sprememb zemeljskega magnetnega polja. Namen je uporabiti podobno tehnologijo in jo prilagoditi za lastne potrebe in cilje. V nalogi je opisano obstoječe stanje v tem segmentu detekcije vozil, obstoječe tehnične rešitve in nato lasten pristop k problemu. Predstavljena je izdelava prototipa detektorja vse od zamisli, izdelave, kalibracije, pa vse do testiranja. Na koncu so nato tolmačeni rezultati in dodan kritičen razmislek o umestitvi v prostor in potencialu naprave.

Secondary abstract: This paper contains a description of development of a potentially new method of continuous detection of traffic flows along a road section in real time. The method is based on established principle of vehicle detection via earth’s magnetic field perturbation. Is goal is to use similar technology and adjust it for our means. The current condition of vehicle detection is described in this paper, along with the current technical solutions and own approach to the problem. The presentation includes the development of the detector from the idea, production, calibration and testing. The findings are then presented at the end of this paper along with a critical thought of placement and the potential of the device.
