diplomsko delo

Abstract

V empiričnemu delu sledi moja raziskava napredka v kreativnosti, kjer so rezultati in interpretacija učencev petih mariborskih osnovnih šol. Rezultate sem nato primerjala še glede na razrede in šole.

Secondary title: QUALITATIVE ASPECT OF WRITING A STORY IN THE SECOND GRADE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL
Secondary abstract: A human communicates at the verbal and non-verbal level from birth onwards. In the thesis we focused on four communication skills that are vital for the development of a child, his self-esteem and social integration. A newborn child first starts receiving auditory information. In later development stages, he attempts to analyse, understand and respond to that information. To do so, the child uses speech, reading and writing. These communication skills start developing already in the phase of emergent literacy, which is before going to school. Spontaneous attempts to speak and imitate speech, reading and writing contribute to the development of the child's basic experience, which is an important precursor of acquiring formal literacy. Wider and richer experience contributes to an easier and faster acquisition of literacy. However, the four communication skills are strongly related to human thinking. A thinking human is able to accept a piece of information, analyse it using his knowledge and experience, transfer it to other thinking humans through communication channels, and find the correct or appropriate solution to the problem. All new mental processes created by new ideas form part of creative thinking. Although creativity can be found in everyday activities, its development varies from one person to another. The thesis focuses on the creativity and imagination of children while writing, particularly their cleverness and creativity, as well as their progress in a certain period of time. The empirical part of the thesis contains our research dealing with progress in creativity. It presents the results and interpretation of pupils from five primary schools in Maribor. The research was conducted in the same way over two periods of time. Considering the qualitative aspect of writing we examined individual progress in creativity of the pupils in writing a story on the basis of a picture. The results were also compared with respect to different grades and schools.
