Abstract

V diplomski nalogi so predstavljene različne oblike poliedrov, ki pod določenim zornim kotom ustvarijo projekcijo kvadrata. Ker se ta projekcija prikaže še iz ostalih dveh pravokotnih smeri, imenujemo taka telesa imaginarne kocke. Projekcija kvadrata pa ni edina zanimivost, zato so omenjeni tudi latinski kvadrati, s pomočjo katerih iz imaginarnih kock generiramo nove imaginarne kocke ter fraktale, ki se pojavijo, če postopek ponovimo neskončnokrat. Opisana je metoda sledenja žarku in orodje POV-Ray, v katerem sem izdelala slike in animacije imaginarnih kock.

Secondary abstract: I present polyhedra which have square projections in three orthogonal directions. Because of this property, we call them Imaginary Cubes. Additionally, this work also demonstrates how Latin Squares can be used to generate new Imaginary Cubes and when repeating the application of Latin Squares infinitely, fractals. I describe the Ray Tracing method and the POV-Ray framework that was used to create images and animations of Imaginary Cubes.
