Secondary abstract: | The world is increasingly focused on green technology. More and more countries are aware of the excessive electricity consumption for lighting of roads and therefore have gradually introduced energy efficient way of lighting. With street lighting comes the light pollution which is a big problem these days and we are barely beginning to be aware of it. In our thesis, we will try to give suggestions to improve the lighting on Slovenian highways to be more energy efficient and will reduce the level of light pollution. To proposals for improving the highway lighting, we researched best practices from other European cities. |
