Abstract
Magistrsko delo z naslovom Zaznave učencev 8. razreda o vplivu IKT na učenje angleščine v teoretičnem delu ponuja pregled razvoja poučevanja angleščine kot tujega jezika in predstavlja dosedanja spoznanja o uporabi informacijsko-komunikacijske tehnologije (IKT) pri pouku angleščine. Opredelili smo pojme, kot sta npr. IKT in računalniško podprto učenje jezika, ter opisali uporabo pripomočkov, kot so urejevalniki besedil, blogi in programska oprema za pošiljanje sporočil kot primere uporabe IKT za učenje angleščine. V empiričnem delu smo s pomočjo rezultatov analize anketnega vprašalnika predstavili zaznave učencev o uporabi IKT za učenje angleščine v šolskem okolju in zunaj njega ter pričakovanja o količini priložnosti za aktivno uporabo IKT pri pouku angleščine. Ugotovili smo, da v šolah, ki so bile vključene v raziskavo, IKT uporabljajo zgolj kot nadomestilo za tradicionalno tablo in grafoskop. Učenci imajo pozitiven odnos do IKT in smatrajo, da imajo visoko razvito računalniško pismenost, prav tako pa si pri učenju angleščine želijo uporabljati več IKT. Največjo prednost takšnega učenja učenci vidijo v popestritvi učnih ur in preprostem dostopanju do izvirnih besedil. Čas, ki ga učitelji porabijo za pripravo na uporabo, je po mnenju učencev velika pomanjkljivost pri vključevanju IKT v pouk angleščine. Raziskava je pokazala, da imajo učenci, ki več prostega časa namenijo izvajanjem dejavnosti v angleščini z uporabo IKT, tudi višje ocene.

Masters' thesis Students' Perceptions of the Influence of ICT on Learning English offers an overview of the development of teaching English as a foreign language and presents the findings about the use of information-communication technology (ICT) for English teaching. We defined terms such as ICT and computer assisted language learning and described the use of word processors, blogs and instant messaging software as examples of ICT use for language learning purposes. The results of the questionnaire analysis present students' perceptions of the ICT use for learning English in school and home environment, and their expectations for the amount of opportunities for active use of ICT in English lessons. The results show that the schools included in this study use ICT as a substitute for the traditional blackboard and overhead projector. The students have a positive attitude toward ICT and believe to have a highly developed digital literacy; what is more, they wish to use more ICT for learning English. The main advantage the students see is lesson diversification and easy access to authentic materials. The preparation time for the use of ICT is a considerable disadvantage of ICT integration in English teaching. The results of the study show a positive correlation between the amount of time the students spend doing activities in English by using ICT in their free time and their final grades. |
