Abstract

Magistrsko delo obravnava problematiko zapuščenosti posameznih objektov znotraj starega mestnega jedra Maribor ter išče spodbude in ideje v okviru novega programa: Centra kreativnih umetnosti z bivalnimi ateljeji, kako tovrstnim objektom vrniti življenje, jim dati nov program in vsebino. Skozi magistrsko delo je predstavljena idejna zasnova Centra kreativnih umetnosti z bivalnimi ateljeji, ki povezuje različne kreativne stroke, jim daje prostor za delo in ustvarjanje, prav tako pa tudi prostor za predstavitev, razstavo. Nadgradnja le - tega je dopolnitev z ateljeji, katerih del je tudi bivalni oz. stanovanjski del. Gostujoči kreativci bivalne ateljeje lahko koristijo sicer omejeno obdobje in nato, ob koncu gostovanja, svoje delo predstavijo javnosti. Gre za medkulturno povezovanje ter širjenje že obstoječega kulturnega programa znotraj starega mestnega jedra Maribor. Tovrstni dogodki, organizirani s strani gostujočih umetnikov, lahko pomenijo tudi nov pristop kulturne revitalizacije starega mestnega jedra Maribor.

Secondary abstract:	The Master’s thesis deals with the issue of abandonment of individual buildings within the city centre Maribor and looks for the encouragement and new ideas within the new program: Creative arts centre with art residencies. The main question is how to bring these buildings back to life, provide them a new program and a content. Through the Master’s thesis is presented the design idea of Creative arts centre with art residencies, which connects different creative professions and provides them a place for a work and creation, as well a space for presentation and exhibition. An upgrade of this idea are art residencies, whose parts are also the accommodations or the residential parts. These spaces are available for hosting the visiting creatives. They can use those spaces for a limited period of time. However, at the end of such period of time they should present their work, creations to the public. The main part of this program is an intercultural networking and an expansion of already existing cultural program within the frame of city centre Maribor. These sorts of events, which are organized by visiting creatives, might constitute a new approach of a cultural revitalization inside the city centre Maribor.
