Abstract

Secondary title: Wind and wind power (pro and con)
Secondary abstract: Without the sun there would be no humanity. Without sun there would not even be wind on Earth. Because, sooner or later, we find a connection between things our early ancestors grasped a connection between wind and energy: from sailboats to windmills and, last but not least, wind farms. A wind farm is an object that uses renewable (alternative) sources of energy which produces environmentally friendly and clean energy. The wind power production is constantly technologically advancing. At the moment, there are two wind farms in Slovenia; a bigger in Dolenja vas and a smaller in Razdrto. The thesis describes the alternative sources of energy and their circumstances in Slovenia and focuses on wind power. The second chapter thoroughly describes the criteria for building wind farms and their circumstances in Slovenia. Because our descendants will decide in the future we must present them alternative sources of energy in an innovative and interesting way. The thesis uses the complete theory on alternative sources of energy, wind farms and their circumstances in Slovenia to compose a manual for technics and technology in primary schools intended for teachers as well as students for the use of pedagogical innovations of innovative pedagogies 1:1, meaning with computers or tablets.
