magistrsko delo
Abstract

GENDER STEREOTYPES IN RADIO ADVERTISEMENTS ON RADIO ROGLA |
Secondary abstract: |
Mass media is a big part of our everyday life and so it, intentionally or unintentionally, creates a certain image of men and women. This Master Thesis is a result of an analysis conducted in the field of radio advertisements at Radio Rogla. The subject of this research is the field of gender stereotypes. We conducted a literature review, based on which we researched the field of advertising, mass media, gender roles and radio. The findings of the analyzed radio advertisements have shown that men dominate in most of the radio advertisements – they appear in more advertisements, several different male voices appear in certain advertisements, they are more often the ones to read the slogan et cetera. We also gave guidelines for further work or suggestions to expand this research into other fields (other radio stations, other or longer time frame etc.). |
