diplomsko delo
Abstract
V diplomski nalogi z naslovom Razvojne ravni malčkove igre smo predstavili razvojne značilnosti v obdobju dojenčka in malčka, poudarek smo dali na igro dojenčka in malčka. Poznamo različne vrste in razvojne ravni iger.

DEVELOPMENTAL STAGES OF CHILD'S PLAY |
Secondary abstract: |
In this diploma thesis Developmental stages of child's play presented developmental characteristic of the baby and toddler stage with emphasis on the baby and toddler's play. Play has a significant impact on all areas of child's development and it also changes accordingly with child's development. There are many different types and developmental levels of play. The first year of baby's life is dominated by functional play. A baby tests the function of objects by placing it in its mouth, throwing, viewing, palpating, turning and repeating simple actions. Symbolic play appears in the first year and becomes more frequent and more complex in the second year of child's life. The purpose of diploma thesis is to determine development stages that one and two-year olds reach during their free play with toys. We were interested in the fact if there is a correlation among certain play behaviour, age and gender and also if there is a correlation between age and specific type of toys. In this diploma thesis we applied quantitative method of research. The research was based on the method of observation without participation. We did not participate in the activities, we only observed. The study included 52 children (aged from one to two years) who attend full-day kindergarten Tezno in Maribor. Children were recorded during their free play with given toys. The results showed that the play of the observed children was mostly functional, where older toddlers compared to younger reaching higher development stages. The symbolic play occurred mainly when we observed older toddlers. As expected, the results show that there is no correlation between the development stage and gender and that toddlers prefer realistic toys. It is very important that we enable one and two-year olds a supportive environment that promotes free play, through which they can acquire fundamental experience about themselves and environment that surrounds them. |
