Abstract
Z razvojem informacijske tehnologije se je zelo poenostavil in skrajšal prenos informacij. Čeprav je mnogo sporočil poiskalo naslovnika preko svetovnega spleta, ostaja težava fizičnega prenosa blaga, ki se z globalizacijo svetovnega gospodarstva neustavljivo povečuje. Storitev hitrega prenosa pošiljk predstavlja eno najhitreje rastočih dejavnosti v svetu. Med največja in najpomembnejša logistična podjetja v državi se uvršča tudi Pošta Slovenije d. o. o. V diplomskem delu smo se usmerili na storitve Hitre pošte, ki predstavlja najhitrejši prenos pošiljk znotraj poštnega sistema. Od uvedbe Hitre pošte v letu 2000 se v njen nadaljnji razvoj ni pretirano vlagalo, kar ima za posledico upad tržnega deleža v primerjavi s konkurenco. V nalogi smo tako analizirali obstoječe stanje storitve Hitra pošta in predlagali optimalne rešitve za njeno izboljšanje. Pri tem smo uporabili metodo deskripcije, s katero smo na teoretični ravni opisali storitev Hitra pošta, v empiričnem delu pa smo uporabili metodo opazovanja, s katero smo pridobili pomembne informacije o prednostih in slabostih delovanja Hitre pošte ter posledično ugotavljanja možnih izboljšav. V zaključku naloge smo ugotovili, da predstavlja ključen problem zanašanje na tradicijo in delovanje poštnega sistema po preverjenem vzorcu iz preteklosti ter togost sistema, ki ne sledi zahtevam uporabnikov, kar se že kaže v upadu tržnega deleža glede na konkurenco.

Assessment of development opportunities of Post of Slovenia express mail services |

Development of information technology has highly simplified and shorten the information transmission. With the globalization of world economy, the physical transfer of goods is increasing on a daily basis. Furthermore, express mail service is one of the fastest growing businesses in the world and Post of Slovenia Ltd. is one of the biggest and most important logistics companies in Slovenia. Due to that, we have examined Express Mail Service of Post of Slovenia, which represents the fastest transfer of post shipment within the postal system. The main problem is that since the introduction of Express Mail Service in 2000, there has been a minimum investment in its development. Consequently, in our thesis, we have been analyzing the current state of Express Mail Service and have proposed optimal solutions for its improvement. In doing so, we have used a descriptive method for describing Express Mail Service on the theoretical level, but in the empirical part of our thesis, we have also used qualitative participant observation whereby we have obtained important information about advantages and disadvantages of Post of Slovenia Express Mail Service. The main findings are that the key problem of such services is reliance on tradition and operation of the postal system under the well tested patterns from the past. The rigidity of the system does not meet their users’ requirements, which reflects in the decline of market share in comparison to competition. |
