magistrsko delo
Abstract
Magistrsko delo obravnava pomen funkcije planiranja v nepridobitnih organizacijah.
Še posebej zato, ker si morajo ta društva vire delovanja v večini zagotoviti sama in so zelo omejena s pridobivanjem dodatnih virov financiranja preko javnih razpisov ter sponzorskih in donatorskih sredstev.

Planning in nonprofit organizations - case study of Društvo za šport in rekreacijo |
Secondary abstract: |
The planning function is the main function of management, which enables an organisation to ensure its own performance and growth. This is true for both profit as well as non-profit organisations; the purpose of the latter not being the creation of profit but benefiting the broader society.
The following master's thesis deals with the importance of the planning function in non-profit organisations. It focuses on the question whether the planning function is actually necessary in small non-profit organisations; such being sports and recreational clubs. It also answers the question whether planning ensures the increase of the business performance in such organisations.
The aim of the master's thesis was to fully study the planning function in non-profit organisations; i.e. sports and recreational clubs in particular. Further on, the aim was to implement the acquired theoretical knowledge in the empirical part of the master's thesis, as well as to carry out planning in the examined Društvo za šport in rekreacijo – Razgibaj se club.
The main part of the master's thesis focused on the planning in the Društvo za šport in rekreacijo – Razgibaj se club, as well as on designing the club's business plan. This was followed by a comparative analysis of the business performance before and after the introduction of changes based on planning and monitoring results.
It was established that planning is essential even in small sports and recreational clubs, especially because these kinds of clubs need to ensure financial resources themselves, and are very limited at acquiring additional financial resources through public tenders, sponsorships, and donations. It is therefore ever so important to plan the management of available resources in great detail, as well as to use all the opportunities that are available.
The analysis of the club's business performance before and after the introduction of changes showed that planning brought many positive consequences to the club; these being related to user satisfaction, the increase in business performance, the success of the business, as well as the growth and development of the club itself.
The master's thesis showed that planning is indeed very important in non-profit organisations, no matter whether these are bigger public institutions or small sports and recreational clubs. |
