Abstract

Secondary title: HEALTHY IN PREGNANCY
Secondary abstract: This diploma thesis presents physiological changes during the pregnancy, describes risk factors during the pregnancy as well as health education for pregnant women. The research tries to find out whether pregnant women are familiar with various risk factors during their pregnancy and whether they avoid these risks. Questionnaires were distributed among 60 moms of children attending kindergarten "Čebelica". Only 56 questionnaires were correctly filled out. The questionnaire consisted of 19 questions. The research revealed 80 % of women thought they were familiar with the negative pregnancy risk factors; however 39 % of them answered incorrectly, when they were asked to identify them. Furthermore, 77 % of pregnant women didn't answer the question "which other pregnancy risk factors they might know". The results of this research show that pregnant women are not familiar enough with all the negative risk factors during the pregnancy and that they are aware of just some of them. The research also proves pregnant women avoid the risk factors they are aware of.
