Abstract

Priprava vzorcev in ekstrakcije so bile izvedene s petrol etrom z vreliščem 40-60°C in z uporabo metode s stresanjem ali Soxhlet ekstrakcijo.

Secondary title: DETERMINATION OF POLYCYCLIC AROMATIC HIDROCARBONS IN WASTE MATERIAL
Secondary abstract: The purpose of this paper is the implementation of a standard method for determining PAH’s in an environmental laboratory. This thesis presents the development of a method for the determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in solid matrices, mostly in the waste material. The method development includes the preparation of laboratory samples, the execution of the extraction and the analysis of extracts with gas chromatography mass spectrometry(GC-MS. As the quantification method the spectrometer was used in selective ion mode (SIM). Sample preparation and extraction was carried out with petroleum ether (at a boiling point of 40-60° C). Two different extraction methods were used: the Soxhlet extraction and the shaking-sonification extraction method. The calibration curve was in the range between 1 and 10 mg / L for the particular compound, which amounts to to between 0.20 mg/kg and 2 mg/kg of every single PAH at maximum sample weight of 25 g and a minimum amount of 5 ml of extract.
