Abstract

V diplomskem delu obravnavamo Windows Azure platformo ter njeno vlogo v svetu računalništva v oblaku. Umestimo jo med ostale ponudnike oblačnega računalništva ter jo z njimi primerjamo. Prav tako podrobno opišemo in obrazložimo strukturo Windows Azure platforme ter vseh njenih storitev. V nadaljevanju še opišemo življenjski cikel razvoja Windows Azure aplikacij, obravnavamo podporo k interoperabilnosti v Windows Azure, opišemo prehod aplikacij na Windows Azure, kjer predstavimo možnost izvedbe hibridnih aplikacij ter prenos obstoječih aplikacij na Azure. Zadnji del diplomskega dela obsega praktičen primer aplikacije, ki se zaganja v Windows Azure okolju, načrtovanje arhitekture po metodologiji DDD, opis funkcionalnosti aplikacije in bistvenih primerov uporabe ter implementacijo socialne mreže CloudDocs in njeno namestitev v oblak.

Secondary title: Development of contemporary information solutions in Windows Azure
Secondary abstract: In this final work we discuss the Windows Azure platform and its role in the world of cloud computing. We investigate other providers of cloud computing and compare them with Windows Azure capabilities, as well. In the following work we also describe and explain the structure of the Windows Azure platform in details and all of its services. We continue our paper with a description of the development lifecycle of Windows Azure applications, interoperability support on Windows Azure, application migrations on Windows Azure, that present the possibility of hybrid applications and the migration of existing applications to Azure. The last part of the following work includes a practical application example, which runs on Windows Azure environment. In this part we design the architecture based on DDD methodology, describe the main use cases and functionalities of our application, and finally, we implement CloudDocs social networking and deploy it to the cloud.
