Abstract
Informacijska tehnologija (v nadaljevanju: IT) prevladuje v vseh funkcijah strateškega in operativnega menedžmenta. Informacija je gonilna sila v turizmu in prav zaradi tega IT omogoča priložnosti in izzive v tej panogi. Uporaba IT v hotelirstvu predstavlja vedno večji dejavnik vzpostavitve konkurenčne prednosti. Za uspešno implementacijo IT pa ni dovolj le uvedba rešitve, temveč je potreben strateški pristop k uvedbi, ki temelji na usklajenem in povezanem delovanju poslovne strategije in strategije informacijskih sistemov (v nadaljevanju: IS).
V tem delu v okviru poslovne strategije izhajam iz funkcij menedžmenta, ki opredeljujejo poslovanje podjetja. Ta opredelitev je ključnega pomena za nadaljnjo informatizacijo v podjetju, ker so vse aktivnosti informatizacije v podjetju usmerjene v podporo poslovanju. Predstavljeni sta predvsem funkciji načrtovanja in organiziranosti, od katerih nam prva pomaga opredeliti cilje poslovanja, druga pa odraža način, kako želi podjetje uresničiti zastavljene cilje.
Usklajevanje poslovne strategije in strategije IS nazorno prikazuje ogrodje strateškega menedžmenta IS (Clarke 2007, 168), ki v nadaljevanju služi kot osnova predstavljeni metodologiji za strateško načrtovanje IS, ki ti strategiji združuje.
V tem delu sem predstavil rešitve za hotelsko poslovanje, na podlagi katerih se izvaja informatizacija poslovanja in pridejo v poštev kot sestavni del rešitev v okviru metodologije za strateško načrtovanje IS.
Predstavljena metodologija za strateško načrtovanje IS je sestavljena iz naslednjih aktivnosti:
- analiza strateških elementov,
- izdelava preglednega modela organizacijskega sistema,
- izdelava modela povezovanja,
- IS/IKT-analiza,
- izdelava strateške mreže in prioritetne liste vpeljave novih tehnologij.
S pomočjo te metodologije sem podal predlog za nadaljnji razvoj strateških rešitev v okviru informatizacije poslovanja v podjetju Thermana d. d.

Information technologies (ITs) prevail all functions of strategic and operational management. As information is the lifeblood of tourism, ITs provide both opportunities and challenges for the industry. IT usage is recognised to be an important factor in developing the competitive advantage in hotel business.
For successful implementation of IT there is not enough only to deliver it, prior to that there must be a strategic approach to the delivery based on business and IS/IT strategies alignment.
My starting point in this work is function management, within the scope of business strategy that defines enterprise operation. This definition is crucial for further business informatization, because all efforts regarding informatization are oriented in business support. Functions that are introduced are planning and business organizing where former helps to define business goals and latter reflect the way enterprise wants to realize that goals.
Business and IS strategy alignment is clearly represented by strategic framework for IS strategic management (Clarke 2007, 168), used as groundwork for introduced methodology for strategic IS planning that incorporates those two strategies.
In this work, I have introduced hotel operation solutions that are used for business informatization and are put together as basis for strategic planning of IS.
Introduced strategic IS planning methodology is composed of following activities:
- strategic element analysis,
- clear organisational model making,
- linking model making,
- IS/IKT analysis,
- strategic grid and priority list for introducing new technologies making.
