Abstract

V teoretičnem delu smo najprej opredelili sam pojem motivacije, opisali nekatere motivacijske teorije in elemente učne motivacije in podali nekaj pomembnih iztočnic za kakovostno motiviranje učencev.

Secondary title: THE USE OF MOTIVATIONAL MEANS IN TEACHING
Secondary abstract: In the thesis titled "The Use of Motivational Means in Teaching" the use of motivational means in the first education period of nine-year elementary school is presented. In the theoretical part we firstly defined a concept of motivation, described some motivational theories and elements of learning motivation and gave some important cues for qualitatively motivating of pupils. Special attention is later on given to the description of motivational means and activities which teachers can use in teaching. At the end a class climate is presented, which affects students' motivation a great deal. In the research a descriptive and causal-non-experimental method of empirical pedagogical research was used. In the empirical part of the thesis the results of the research are presented, which show that teachers use motivational means in all school subjects and articulation rates, as well as above mentioned motivational means. Difference is shown in a frequency of their usage. Chooseng of motivational means mostly depends on course (lesson) content. Teachers state three most important reasons for the use of motivational means: attention and concentration of pupils is bigger, a lesson is more interesting and more pleasant for pupils and atmosphere in a class is better. The big emphasis teachers attribute to preparation and production because more than half of all teachers spend from 30 and up to 60 and more minutes for preparation and production of motivational means.
