Abstract

Sklep. Z dobrim poznavanjem dejavnikov tveganja in z večjo osveščenostjo ljudi o tej bolezni lažje in bolje načrtujemo zdravstveno vzgojo ljudi, pri čemer so nam raziskave v veliko pomoč.

Secondary title: AWARENESS AMONG PEOPLE ABOUT THE RISK FACTORS OF CORONARY ARTERY DISEASES
Secondary abstract: Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) is one of the biggest public health care problems. In Europe CVD causes almost half of all death causes, what represent 1, 9 million death causes in the countries of European Union. In spite of the fact that mortality is gradually decreasing in all of the developed countries, CVD remains the most frequent cause of death and the main cause of disability and lower quality of life. (Fras, 2009, str. 13) In Slovenia CVD amounts to 38% of all death cases and the data is similar to the average percentage around the world in the developed countries. Researching mortality rates due to heart and coronary disease in different regions of Slovenia shows that the percentage is higher in the southeast part of Slovenia. (Fras, 2009, str. 13 - 26) Research method: The quantitative descriptive method was used during the research. To reach the goal of the research we used a survey composed of 35 closed type questions. The data was statistically processed by the Microsoft Excel computer program. The results: The results obtained were surprising because we confirmed a hypothesies, and the other reversed. In regards of the research question, the answer is following: low degree of awareness and ignorance can be one the reasons for disease extent. The conclusion: According to the awareness of risk factors and education of people regarding the disease, we can plan health education better. To reach this goal, the research results can be of great help.
