Abstract

Zanesljiv in varen prenos poštnih pošiljk sta pomembni nalogi poštnega prometa, zato lastniki poštnih, kurirskih in drugi storitev uvajajo varnostne izboljšave in varnostne standarde.

Secondary title: TRANSPORT AND PROTECTION OF POSTAL ITEMS
Secondary abstract: A reliable and secure transfer of mail is an essential task of mail delivery, that is why the owners of post, courier and other services introduce security improvements and standards. Within this frame, it is important to take into account the local and international legal acts of mail delivery. The post office of Slovenia, which is the main performer in Slovenia, introduced a special sector of corporative security and control, taking care for the company's security. The transport is carried out by the company's own, foreign vehicles, in the international transport also railway carriages or planes. A great importance is also to be lied upon the density of settlements, their economic and cultural development and the actual needs of mail service. The organization of delivery is divided into a central system, non-central system and a combination of both systems. The alarm system needs to work perfectly, 24 hours a day throughout the whole year, with a quick response, with the right steps and interventionist services, in the case of an unusual incident in mail delivery. The establishment of an early alarm system, which is created by the employees, the costumers and an interested public, is a system of informing the external interventionist services by telephone, direct mutual or in written form. The post office of Slovenia cooperates with selected companies of private security, police and other agencies of prosecution.
