Abstract
Človek postaja pismen skozi daljše časovno obdobje. Od zgodnjega otroštva naprej poteka seznanjanje z branjem in pisanjem spontano in neformalno, saj se otrok srečuje z različnimi napisi ob cestah, v trgovinah, na raznih stavbah ipd. Z vstopom v šolo pa se prične proces formalnega opismenjevanja, ki poteka načrtno in sistematično. Proces učenja branja in pisanja poteka celotno prvo vzgojno-izobraževalno obdobje. V teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela sem predstavila opismenjevanje, postopke pridobivanja črk, metode opismenjevanja, dejavnike, ki vplivajo na učenčevo uspešnost, in pomen motivacije učenca. Ker se z leti sistem opismenjevanja v šolah spreminja, sem se odločila, da zaradi uvedbe novega učnega načrta izvedem raziskavo v zvezi s stopnjo pismenosti učencev prvega razreda. V empiričnem delu diplomskega dela so predstavljeni rezultati in interpretacija učencev petih mariborskih šol. Preverjanje je potekalo dvakrat, v razmahu štirih mesecev. Zanimalo me, je kakšno znanje imajo učenci glede členjenja besed, zapisa besed, branja in razumevanja prebranega. Zanimal me je njihov individualni napredek. Prikazani so tudi rezultati posameznih šol.

A human becomes literate through a longer period of time. From the early beginning children get familiar with reading and writing spontaneously and informally as they notice various signs and notices by the side of the roads, in shops and on buildings. When the children are enrolled into school the stage or process of formal literacy begins and it is executed methodically and systematically. The process of learning how to read and write takes up the whole first part of the educational period. In the theoretical part I present literacy, the various principles of learning letters, the types of literacy, factors that influence on the pupil's success and the importance of the pupil's motivation. As the process of literacy has been changing through time, I decided that (due to the implementation of a new Study Plan) I would perform a survey of the level of literacy of the 1st grade pupils. I present the results of my survey in the empirical part of this thesis. I conducted my survey in five primary schools in Maribor. I did it twice, with a four-month interval. I wanted to find out how competent the pupils were at reading, writing, comprehension and dividing the words. I was especially interested in their individual progress. I also present the analysis of the results of individual schools. |
