Abstract
Otrok se rodi v svet množičnih medijev. Najprej je poslanstvo staršev, da jih seznanijo z njimi, z vstopom otroka v vrtec pa to vlogo prevzamejo vzgojitelji, ki prek skrbno načrtovanih in premišljenih dejavnosti otroka seznanijo z mediji in ga sproščeno vključijo v proces medijske vzgoje, kjer otrok pridobi sposobnosti za razumevanje, ocenjevanje, analiziranje in evalviranje medijskih vsebin ter do njih razvije kritično distanco, kar je cilj medijskega opismenjevanja.
V teoretičnem delu sem skušala opredeliti pojem medij in nato nekatere vrste medijev natančneje opisati. Izpostavila sem splošne informacije o radiu, računalniku in televizije ter njihove prednosti in slabosti. Zapisala sem, kaj je medijska vzgoja in kako se povezuje z medijskim opismenjevanjem, ki je cilj medijske vzgoje. Posvetila sem se tudi poglavju medijske vzgoje na področju umetnosti v vrtcu in za lažje delo vzgojiteljev predstavila nekaj ciljev in dejavnosti, s katerimi z otroki izvajamo medijsko vzgojo na področju umetnosti. Pozornost sem namenila tudi vlogi vzgojitelja pri vpeljavi medijske vzgoje na omenjenem kurikularnem področju.
V sklopu empiričnega dela sem želela izvedeti, kakšna so stališča anketiranih vzgojiteljev do načrtnega vključevanja medijev in izvajanja medijske vzgoje pri delu z otroki. Zanimalo me je, ali anketirani vzgojitelji znajo opredeliti pojem medijska vzgoja in ali otrokom omogočajo dovolj izkušenj z mediji. Poizvedovala sem tudi, na katera področja anketirani vzgojitelji najpogosteje vključujejo medije in s kakšnim namenom. Zanimalo me je tudi, kateri medij uporabljajo pri posameznem področju umetnosti in v kolikšni meri.

The role of preschool teacher in the introduction of media education in the Arts |

A child is born in the world of mass media. The mission of parents is to acquaint children with media, but with the entrance of a child to the kindergarten, this mission transfers on a preschool teacher. Throughout carefully chosen and planned activities they acquaint children with media and include them in the process of media education. Children gain abilities to understand, value, analyse and evaluate media messages and develop critical distance towards them which is the main goal of media literacy.
In the theoretical part I defined a term medium and more precisely described some of them. I exposed general information about radio, computer and television and their (dis)advantages. I wrote what media education is and about its connection to media literacy. The latter is the goal of the first. One of the chapters I gave attention to is media education in the Arts in kindergarten and then pointed out some goals and activities which might help preschool teacher to carry out media education with children. My main occupation was the role of preschool teacher in introducing media education in Arts.
With this research I wanted to investige standpoints of preschool teachers about planned including of media and media education in the activities with children. I was interested if they know how to define the term media education and if they offer enough experiences with media to their children. I was searching on curriculum areas where media are most frequently used and with which intention. I wanted to know which medium is used on a particular area of Arts in kindergarten. |
