(magistrsko delo)
Abstract
Raziskovalne metode: V empiričnem delu magistrske naloge smo uporabili kvantitativno metodologijo. Uporabili smo tehniko zbiranja podatkov s standardiziranim anketnim vprašalnikom o prehranjevalnih navadah starostnikov.

NUTRITION OF THE ELDERLY |
Secondary abstract: |
Theoretical background: In the theoretical part of the master's thesis, we describe the diet of the elderly people. We also described the elderly and the significant changes in this period of life, determinants of healthy eating and health-educational work of nurses. We focused on nutritional factors that influence the formation of nutritional problems and diseases associated with an unhealthy diet.
Research methods: In the empirical part of the master's thesis, we used quantitative methodology. We have used the technique of data collection with a standardized survey questionnaire on eating habits of the elderly. We have summarized and organized a standardized questionnaire to the National Institute for Public Health "Health-related behavioral style." From this questionnaire we took 6 demographic questions and 14 questions, which relate to the eating habits of the elderly. For quantitative data we used the program SPPS by which we carried out a statistical analysis of the data. We used a statistical method chi-square test and descriptive statistics. To display the data in the form of graphs and tables we used Microsoft Excel.
Results: Based on our research, we found that 66.8% of older people have increased weight, consume too little fluid and use more fat milk. They eat too little fresh vegetables and fruits, which are on the menu once a week instead of several times a day.
The elderly, however, have adequate number of meals per day. Based on the results with the statistical chi-square sex cannot be connected to the variables, but you can connect the age and the drunk liquid and the consummation of tea. We can bind education level to adding extra salt to the food. Conclusions: Too many older people are overweight, so they should lose weight, use low-fat milk and more unsaturated fats. Most of the elderly do not drink enough fluids, they should drink more water and unsweetened drinks. |
