Abstract

Secondary title: APPLICATION OF SONOCHEMICAL METHOD IN THE SYNTHESIS OF COPPER METANOATES
Secondary abstract: Sonochemistry is the field od chemistry, where chemical reactions take place under the infulence of sound energy, called ultrasound. It deals with understanding of the effect of sound waves in chemical systems. The aim of our study was to synthesize various modifications of copper methanoates using not only classical methods but also methods of sonochemistry. Within the thesis, samples of copper methanoates were first synthesized and subsequently analysed using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Our assumed hypothesis was confirmed, because we have managed to synthesize various modifications of copper methanoates by varying parameters such as volume and concentration of formic acid as well as mass of basic copper carbonate, which were used as the input compounds.
