magistrsko delo
Abstract

THE CHRONOTOPE IN LAINŠČKE'S TRILOGY AND IN DUŠAN ŠAROTAR'S NOVEL |
Secondary abstract: |
The dissertation "Chronotope in Lainšček's trilogy and Dušan Šarotar's novel" focuses on the categories of the chronotope which occurs in the discussed novels. This is also the central theme of the dissertation which is divided into two major parts. The first part presents the theory which integrates different authors and their perspectives on time and space in literature. Based on the relevant literature it also introduces particular categories of the chronotope further discussed and analysed in the discussed novels. The beginning of the second part focuses on time and space in each novel, which is very important for further analysis in order to set time and space in the novels. All but the last of the Lainšček's trilogy are spatially positioned in the world along the river Mura, in Murska Sobota. Another contact point of all the discussed novels is the theme of war which occurs in each novel but to different extents. As already mentioned, different categories of the chronotope are emphasized occurring in all novels. In the final part there is a comparison how these categories of the chronotope are manifested in various novels and also with two different authors. |
