Abstract

Diplomska naloga daje širši pogled nad virtualnimi in digitalnimi valutami kot sodobni način plačevanja. Razvoj ter dostopnost interneta ter hiter življenjski tempo so omogočili iskanje alternativ v sistemu plačevanja. Vse več uporabnikov se odloča za spletno prodajo, menjavo oz. nakup blaga ali storitev. Nakupe oz. prodajo je mogoče opraviti na daljavo v kateri koli državi na svetu. Denarnice so iznenada postale elektronske, hranimo jih kar v pametnih telefonih, njihova vrednost iz ure v uro se povečuje ali pada. Plačevanje se izogne centralni avtoriteti in drugemu finančnemu nadzoru ter regulaciji. Nakazila, plačila oz. donacije so posledično postala izrazito hitra in skorajda brez stroškov. Kripto valute so digitalne alternative tradicionalnim valutam, izdanih s strani vlade. Spektakularni vzpon bitcoin valute je pritegnil pozornost javnosti. Rekorden vzpon je doživel po ciprski krizi, po evforiji množičnega umika prihrankov iz bank.

Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis gives a broader view of alternative payment system by using virtual and digital currencies. The development and availability of the Internet and present lifestyle are seeking alternatives in payment system. More and more users are using the Web for shopping, selling and/or exchange of goods and services. Purchases or sales cane be done from distance in any country in the world. Suddenly, wallets have become electronic and stored in smart phones, their value is changing (increasing or decreasing) from hour to hour. Innovative payments operate with no central authority or banks. Transfers become highly rapid and almost without costs. Cryptocurrencies are digital alternatives to traditional currencies, issued by governments. The spectacular rise of bitcoin currency has attracted public attention. He has seen a record rise of the Cypriot crisis, after the euphoria of mass withdrawal of savings from banks.
