diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študija Organizacija in management kadrovskih in izobraževalnih sistemov
Abstract
V največji meri so povzročitelji nasilja sodelavci.

Violence at work – comparison between the public and private sector |
Secondary abstract: |
The aim of my thesis is to present the violence that occurs often at work place and many employees and organizations are facing with. With the help of a questionnaire which was distributed to randomly chosen people employed in different organizations I would like to demonstrate the comparison between public and private sector, determine the frequency and type of violence, the cause and perpetrators of violence, the types of defense of employees and how many employees would publicly speak about violence.
Based on the used literature, I have discovered that violence in organizations is a serious problem for either sides, employee or a victim may suffer severe and long term consequences while organizations may face increased costs and decline in public reputation. Therefore it seems important to me to identify and detect various forms of violence, which could reduce the consequences for an individual and the organization. Raising employees awareness about violence and correct and quick response in a violent situation are the best ways to reduce violence and its consequences.
With the research we presented the public and private sector and based on the questionnaire we discovered that the psychological violence at work occurs most frequently, mainly in the public sector. For the most part violent associates are the perpetrators. ¬The majority of respondents are not familiar with the measures of prevention and consequences of violence at work place and would publicly speak about violence even though they would expect resignation. Most respondents would immediately take measures and report physical violence but would not take the same measure in case of psychological violence committed by their associates. Based on the results obtained
Based on the results obtained we have given findings and tried to find appropriate improvements. |
