Abstract

Diplomska naloga je sestavljena iz štirih delov. Prvi del je uvod in služi kot orientacija, kjer je predstavljen problem celotnega diplomskega dela, predstavljeno okolje v katerem raziskujem ter uporabljene raziskovalne metode. V drugem delu sem opisala pojem management v turizmu, ki je v turističnih organizacijah ključ za doseganje učinkovitosti in uspešnosti ter turizem, kot ena večjih gospodarskih dejavnosti. Tretji del diplomske naloge predstavlja zgodovino razvoja turizma, razvoj turističnih agencij po svetu. Opisala sem turistično destinacijo in turistične storitve, ter navedla značilnosti turističnega proizvoda. V zadnjem delu sem se osredotočila na turistično agencijo Center in opisala njen nastanek ter razvoj njenega delovanja v Sloveniji. Navedla sem marketinške prijeme agencije ter ugotavljala kako teorija marketinškega spleta deluje v praksi pri Centru. Raziskavo sem izvedla s SWOT analizo. Ugotavljala sem prednosti, slabosti, priložnosti, nevarnosti turistične agencije Center. Na podlagi le-tega sem podala predloge za izboljšanje delovanja turistične agencije Center.

Secondary title: Management in tourism - the example of Travel Agency Center
Secondary abstract: My diploma consists of four parts. The first one – introduction – is used for orientation. It presents what is the main problem of the diploma work, the research environment and which research methods were used. In the second part I described the meaning of management in tourism, which is the main key in touristic organisations for achieving effectiveness and successfulness. Moreover, I described the meaning of tourism itself as one of the biggest economic activities. The third part of the diploma work presents the history of tourism development and the development of touristic agencies all over the world. I described a touristic destination and touristic services; moreover, I listed characteristics of a touristic product. In the last part I focused on a Travel Agency Center and described its beginning and further development in Slovenia. I named the marketing devices and established how the theory of web marketing turns out in practice by the agency. The research was made with the SWOT analysis. What is more, I found out what the advantages, weaknesses, opportunities and dangers for the agency Center are. With all those information made from research, I could introduce some suggestions for improving the work of the agency.
