Abstract

Secondary abstract: Business intelligence is an integral part of every organization. Strategic management of large amounts of data can provide competitive advantage for company. Internet offer us enormous advantages, especially in terms of providing large amounts of information in one place, anywhere and anytime. With development of Cloud based business, computing became even more accessible to individuals and organizations. It means an evolutionary step at the transfer of modern technologies to the business and home environments has been made. We cannot imagine our life without the Internet, Mobile phones and a wide variety of applications; thereby we can call this the era of the Internet of things. The Internet of things represents one of the pillars of the future Internet, which will certainly change our daily lives. We can expect that more and more everyday things will be related to the Internet in the future. These things are going to communicate among themselves or with end-user and send the information about the real situation. This will become an active participant of processes in various fields of human activity. In the first part a theoretical framework that includes Business intelligence is presented, Cloud computing, Internet of Things, Telematics and Mobile sensors. Each section is described in more detail with individual definitions for later understanding of the purpose and effects of the Internet of Things applications to the business. In the second part we focus on a case analysis used to elaborate how Cloud services can contribute to improving operations of the company. In the select company an experiment is executed comparing the compatibility of company requirements with the Cloud computing reports provided by ULU - an application of Internet of Things. Based on the results of a comparative analysis of business challenges with the effects of ULU in the company we will check our hypotheses.
