Abstract

V tem diplomskem delu smo se posvetili razvoju rešitve, ki zagotavlja informacijsko podporo za gojenje rastlin tako izkušenim kot manj izkušenim uporabnikom. Sistem je sestavljen iz dveh komponent, senzorske aplikacije in spletne aplikacije, ki smo ju razvili v ogrodju Ruby on Rails. Senzorska aplikacija se izvaja na mikroračunalniku Raspberry Pi, ki ima priklopljen senozor za merjenje vlage in temperature v okolici. Prebrane vrednosti se shranjujejo v podatkovno bazo ter so ponujene v obliki spletnega programskega vmesnika. Podatke iz vmesnika uporabljamo v spletni aplikaciji, ki je gostovana v oblaku. Ta ima uporabniški vmesnik, ki prikazuje trenutno stanje, zgodovino in nasvete za gojenje, poleg tega pa ima še funkcionalnosti opozarjanja uporabnika ob preseženih pogojih, ugodnih za gojenje.

Secondary abstract: In this diploma thesis, we strive to develop a information support solution to help make growing plants easier. Developed system contains two independent components, a sensor application and web application, both developed in Ruby on Rails web framework. Sensor application relies on small and low-cost Raspberry Pi computer with attached sensor for reading and saving humidity and temperature values to the database. Values from senor are provided as a web programming interface, and are consumed by web application, a separate component which is deployed on cloud hosting platform. This web application provides user interface for displaying current status, statistics and growing advice, as well as functionalities for notifying the user, if the favorable growing conditions are exceeded.
