Abstract

Referenčne storitve, ki jih ponuja splošna knjižnica morajo zadovoljiti potrebe vseh uporabnikov. Posebno pozornost je potrebno nameniti mladostnikom, ki so v svojem obdobju odraščanja še posebej občutljivi. Pomembno je, da se jim referenčni knjižničar zna približati in da obvlada tehniko komuniciranja brez negativnih predsodkov. Predmet raziskave se nanaša na zadovoljstvo mladostnikov z referenčnimi storitvami v Mestni knjižnici Grosuplje. Teoretičnemu delu sledi raziskovalni del, ki prikazuje rezultate ankete. Vzorec je zajemal 150 mladostnikov, starih 15-19 let. Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti kako so mladostniki zadovoljni z referenčnimi storitvami, ki jih knjižnica ponuja in ali obstajajo razlike med posameznimi starostnimi skupinami. Kaj jim je najbolj všeč in če kaj pogrešajo. Rezultati so pokazali, da so mladostniki večinoma zadovoljni in da si želijo daljši delovni čas knjižnice. Primerjali smo jih z dosedanjimi izvedenimi raziskavami in ugotovili, da so večinoma podobni.

Secondary abstract: Reference services, offered by the public library, must satisfy the needs of all users. Special attention need young adults. They are in adolescence which is very sensitive period. A reference librarian must know how to communicate with them without negative prejudices. The subject of research relate to the satisfaction of young adults with reference service at the Grosuplje City Library. Theoretical part is followed by empirical part, which shows the results of interviewing. The sample included 150 young adults, aged 15-19 years. The purpose of this study was to determine how are young adults satisfied with the library reference services and there are any differences between the age groups. We want to know what they like the best and what they are missing. The results showed that young adults are generally satisfied. They want the library would be open more time. We compared results with the previous research and found out that they are generally similar.
