diplomsko delo univerzitetnega študija
Abstract
Najpogostejše posledice fizičnih obračunov so lahke telesne poškodbe.

DETECTING AND DEALING WITH CRIMINAL OFFENCES IN IG PRISON |
Secondary abstract: |
Women are biologically, psychologically, and sociologically different than men and therefore require a different approach in prison, which they do not normally receive. In this respect, for women prison represents a more serious ordeal than for men. Women are considered less violent than men; nevertheless, women in prison are involved in criminal offences with elements of violence. Analysis of the data from the Ig prison showed that physical violence of imprisoned women has significantly reduced in the last six years. The most common consequences of physical fighting are light injuries. At this point, it is necessary to underline that experiences show that there is a lot of psychological violence that remains undeclared and is not captured in statistics. The data also shows that violence against prison staff has also reduced. Given that the number of prisoners in the last six years increased, and the number of violent conflicts decreased, we can conclude that the employees of the Ig prison effectively ensure the safety of prisoners.
The initial part of the thesis encompasses the summary of the history of punishment, theories of punishment, and the development of prison as the main punishment against the crime. The following presents the Ig prison which is the only women's prison in Slovenia. The main part of the thesis describes the crimes associated with violence. In continuation, legal measures available to the employees in the event of violence are defined. At the end measures by means of which the staff in prison influences a better atmosphere and which consequently prevent violence among prisoners are described. |
