Abstract

Samostojnost predšolskega otroka je pomemben dejavnik, saj vpliva na otrokovo kasnejše življenje. Pomembno je, da se pomena samostojnosti za predšolskega otroka zavedajo tako starši kot vzgojitelji v vrtcu. Diplomsko delo je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V teoretičnem delu je na kratko predstavljen celostni razvoj otroka, opredeljena je samostojnost predšolskega otroka ter vloga staršev in vzgojiteljev pri spodbujanju le tega. Z raziskavo v empiričnem delu je bilo raziskano, ali starši in vzgojitelji ter pomočniki vzgojiteljev spodbujajo otrokovo samostojnost pri prehranjevanju, higieni, oblačenju, pospravljanju, opravljanju nalog in izbiranju aktivnosti ter ali pri tem obstajajo razlike glede na vrsto anketirancev, starost anketirancev in starost otrok. Ugotovljeno je bilo, da pri spodbujanju samostojnosti pri predšolskih otrocih obstajajo statistične razlike glede na vrsto anketirancev. Statistično značilne razlike obstajajo tudi glede na starost anketirancev in starost otrok. Spodbujanje samostojnosti je torej odvisno od vrste anketiranca, starosti anketiranca in starosti otrok. Ne glede na to, ali so anketiranci starši, vzgojitelji ali pomočniki vzgojiteljev, ne glede na to, koliko so stari in koliko je star otrok, vedno se je potrebno truditi za spodbujanje otrokove samostojnosti. Otrok bo tako postajal vedno bolj samostojen, odgovoren, samozavesten in pripravljen na ovire, ki jih prinaša življenje.

Secondary abstract: The autonomy of preschool children is a very important factor, since it influences the child's future life. It is important that parents and kindergarten teachers are aware of the importance of the preschool child's autonomy. The thesis consists of the theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part briefly presents the integrated development of the child, defines the autonomy of the preschool child and the role of parents and teachers in encouraging his autonomy. The research in the empirical part analysed, whether parents, kindergarten teachers and their assistants encourage the child's autonomy during eating, hygiene, dressing, tidying, other tasks and in the selection of activities and whether there are differences regarding the type of respondents and their age or the age of the children. Statistical differences were found concerning the encouragement of the autonomy of preschool children regarding the type of respondents. Statistical differences regarding the age of respondents and children were also found. The encouragement of autonomy therefore depends on the type of the respondents, their age and the age of the children. Irrespective of being a parent, kindergarten teacher or assistant teacher, their age and the age of children, we always have to encourage the child's autonomy. The child will consequently become more independent, responsible, self-confident and prepared for obstacles in life.
