Abstract

Secondary title: ANALYSIS OF DYNAMIC LIGHTING EFFICIENCY IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS
Secondary abstract: The first part of the thesis presents the different types and elements of indoor lighting systems and different types of lighting control strategies. Among different communication systems, emphasis was put on DALI and DSI systems which are the two systems most widely used in educational premises. Drawing on the measurements of electric energy consumption of lighting in the classrooms the impact of different control strategies on energy efficiency of the lighting was investigated. The methodology of energy efficacy evaluation of lighting systems in the buildings according to the LENI index is presented in detail in the second part. The LENI index for the building “C” at Velenje High school centre was calculated by all three different methods. Using the acquired data of energy consumption for the lighting in the same building, the measured values were compared to the calculated parameters and thus the method’s credibility was checked.
