Abstract

Secondary abstract: Diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of the body measurements of the measured male and female population. The recording of the body measurements was carried out by the BodiFit association within the project “How FIT is the city of Maribor ?" and " How FIT is the city of Domžale?" The aim of the thesis was a comparison between the average physical dimensions of the measured people, divided into five age groups (up to 20 years, 21 to 30 years, 31 to 40 years, 41 to 50 years and above 50 years) and the average body measurements of all the measured people. The aim was to find out whether garments can be constructed according to the average body size of the total population or should garments, in order to fit better, be constructed for the individual age groups, based on their specific average measurements. The latter has been confirmed only for one male and three female age groups.
