Abstract

V diplomski nalogi smo na kratko predstavili zgodovino piškotkov, uporabo le-teh, delovanje in opis tehnologij za sledenje uporabnikom spletnih strani, kot so ETag, Http lokacija, Referrer ter ostale. Primerjali smo jih glede na njihove značilnosti, kot npr. zmogljivosti, natančnosti sledenja, zapletenosti tehničnih izvedb itd. Preverili smo, ali so tehnologije piškotkov skladne z današnjimi zakoni o kršenju zasebnosti na spletu ter kako doseči skladnost s temi zakoni. Na koncu smo še ustvarili tabelo ugotovitev, kjer smo si zapisali podatke, ki smo jih ustvarili s pomočjo spletne strani, kjer smo le-te tehnologije preverili.

Secondary abstract: In the thesis we presented the history of cookies, the use of it, technologies for tracking website users like Etag, http location, http referrer and so on. We compared the technologies according to their characteristics such as performance, precision tracking, the complexity of technical implementation etc. We checked whether the cookie technologies are consistent with current laws regarding the violation of user privacy on the Internet, and how to achive compliance with these laws. In the end as the last chapter we created a table findings where we wrote down informations about tracking technologies such as utility problems, usefulness of cookies depending on certain situations.
