Secondary abstract: | The diploma thesis deals with the use of dual-steel moment resisting frames in seismic areas. In the first part of the thesis the most significant conclusions gained from literature overview are presented. In the second part an actual design of 4- and 8-story moment resisting frames made of different grades of steel is demonstrated. Based on the analysis the reasonableness of the use of high strength steel in non-dissipative members (columns) is evaluated. |
