Abstract

Vodne pregrade se od nekdaj gradijo zaradi koristi, vendar pa hkrati predstavljajo grožnjo oziroma določeno tveganje za okolje in ljudi v njihovem vplivnem območju. Zato sta zagotavljanje varnosti pregrad in poznavanje tveganja, ki ga pregrada predstavlja v prostoru, eni izmed ključnih nalog v pregradnem inženirstvu. V okviru diplomske naloge je analizirana varnost sistema pregrad Mavčiče-Medvode. Predstavljene so osnovne značilnosti obravnavnih pregrad ter dokumentacija in sistemi, s katerimi se zagotavlja in spremlja obratovalna varnost objektov. Na podlagi dokumentacije in terenskega ogleda je s pomočjo metodologije projekta VODPREG opredeljena stopnja tveganja. Ocena tveganja dejansko ni narejena strogo po definiciji, temveč temelji na vrednotenju bistvenih parametrov, s katerimi najbolj povzamemo stopnjo nevarnosti, ki jo obravnavani sistem pregrad predstavlja za okolico.

Secondary title: Safety Analysis of the Mavčiče-Medvode dam cascade
Secondary abstract: Dams have always been built because of the benefits they offer, however, they are a threat to the environment and the people living nearby. To this end, ensuring the safety of dams and being aware of the risks they pose to the environment are two of the main tasks of dam engineering. As part of the thesis, we analysed the safety of the Mavčiče-Medvode dam cascade. The thesis presents the main characteristics of the dams and deals with the documentation and systems ensuring and monitoring their operational safety. Based on the documentation and field inspection, the level of risk was determined using the methodology of the VODPREG project. The risk assessment was not performed in strict accordance with the definition, but rather by assessing the key parameters that accurately represent the level of risk the dam poses to its vicinity.
