diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študija Varnost in policijsko delo
Abstract
Politični ekstremizem predstavlja grožnjo nacionalni in mednarodni varnosti.

POLITICAL EXTREMISM IN EU |
Secondary abstract: |
Political extremism poses a threat to national and European security. In detecting and defining the activities that are in conflict with the norms of the state and society, the fight against extremism must be primarily preventive. In political extremism we focus on the political environment where political movements and parties find themselves at the extreme borders of the accepted political culture. Economic crisis, unemployment and increasing migration from the underdeveloped countries contribute to the emergence of extremist groups. In some states of the European Union the activity of extremist parties is increasing. The response to these activities must be in accordance with the values that we want to protect (human rights, fundamental freedom, international law). In order to avoid misunderstandings regarding the definition of extremism and to help fight against it, many countries have classified extremist actions in the national criminal legislation. In this thesis we have analysed extremist movements in Belgium, Germany, Slovenia and Greece. Political extremism in these countries recently became more noticeable and countries have begun to pay more attention to its control and restriction. |
