Abstract

Magistrsko delo opisuje medsebojno povezavo športa kot medijskega spektakla in televizije kot enega največjih množičnih medijev. Šport tako televiziji omogoča veliko gledanost, ona pa ga dela pomembnega in zanimivega. Posamezni športi so se skozi čas popolnoma prilagodili potrebam in zakonitostim televizije, tako v dolžini tekmovanja kot tudi pri pravilih posameznih športnih panog. Neposredni televizijski športni prenos je televizijskemu športu dal neko dodano vrednost, ki je s tem postal zanimivejši za gledalce in oglaševalce, kateri za omenjen množični medij predstavljajo glavni vir dohodka. Predstavljena je tudi tematika televizijskih pravic prenosov določenih športnih tekem, za katere se potegujejo razne televizijske hiše in kjer se obračajo nepredstavljivo velike vsote denarja. Ker je glavni cilj televizije pridobiti čim večjo gledanost posameznega športnega dogodka, je potrebno zagotoviti čim boljšo televizijsko produkcijo neposrednega športnega prenosa. Pri tem je uporabljena najnaprednejša tehnologija, ki daje gledalcem pred televizijskimi zasloni pogled in informacijo, katerih gledalci na samem prizorišču športnega dogodka v tistem trenutku nimajo.

Secondary abstract: Relationship between sport as media spectacle and television as one of the greatest mass media is described in this thesis. Sport is providing increased viewership to television on the other hand television is the one that makes sport interesting and meaningful. Individual sports have adapted over time perfectly to the needs of television – they adapted the length of a competition and also individual sports rules. Television sports production gave some benefits to television sport which made it more interesting to viewers and advertisers which represents the main source of income. The topic of television rights is also presented in the thesis. There is a big competition between broadcasters which spent a lot of money to get them. Since the main purpose of the television is to get as much as possible viewers they have to provide the best possible television sports production. The most advanced technology has to be used which is giving the television viewers the best possible view that viewers at the venue cannot see.
